Have you been betrayed? Here’s how to move on…
By Lauren | December 6, 2008
As someone who writes and speaks about apologies, I get questions from readers about how to handle the pain and disillusionment that follow betrayal. Sometimes the questions come from people who feel that they’ve been betrayed, other times from people who admit they’ve been the betrayer. Either way, betrayal is no fun at all.
Recently, I teamed up with the Love Doctor, Dr. Terri Orbuch, to tape a special one-hour radio show on how to move on after betrayal. Dr. Terri is not only a rising multi-media star among relationship advisors, she’s a respected professor and nationally funded research scientist, as well as a marriage and family therapist. She’s incredibly insightful, and it was a real privilege for me to spend an hour talking with Dr. Terri about how to get past betrayal, and how important apologies are to that painful but essential process. We used questions from Dr. Terri’s listeners and my readers to provide real-life examples of situations where people betrayed their loved ones so we could offer practical advice on what to do and how to heal.
The show will air Monday, December 8th at 11 AM Eastern, 8 AM Pacific, and will be available later on demand podcast ready. If you’re looking for advice on how to get your life back together after a betrayal, tune in to http://www.modavox.com/voiceamerica/ for Dr. Terri’s show. It’ll be our early holiday gift to you.
