When times are tough, it’s time to sing!

By Lauren | June 9, 2009

It’s rare for me to recommend books on this blog that aren’t geared specifically toward business, but these aren’t ordinary times and God Wants to Hear You Sing isn’t an ordinary book. My new friend Ruthie Jacobsen, who co-authored the book with Rodney Griffin, contacted me recently and asked if I’d help launch God Wants to Hear You Sing. A little skeptical at first, I agreed to read it and see.

Ruthie and her co-author have a winner here. This is a book about finding courage in tough times; about choosing to sing, even in life’s valleys; about discovering the energizing power of hope. Ruthie tells me that God Wants to Hear You Sing was written to be a confidence-builder, and I believe her. It’s packed with lovely stories about transformational moments in the lives of people who were going through some very tough times. Without giving away too much, the story of a modern-day Good Samaritan moved me to tears. And as if the book wasn’t enough, it’s accompanied by a buoyant, full-length CD with faith-inspiring music, produced specifically for the book by Greater Vision, the most-awarded trio in Southern Gospel.

Ruthie and her co-author are launching God Wants to Hear You Sing on Amazon today. The price of the book will be reduced 25% and, if you buy it today at www.godwantstohearyousing.org, you’ll be offered several special gifts (including one from me). Check it out - this lovely little book could be just what you need to lift up your heart and sing.
